I was in a citrus mood.
Can you tell?
Yet another layout about me and the boy.
This pic is from New Years.
I made clay moustaches so we were giving each other moustacheo-ed NYE kisses.

And it all started in London.
Of course :)
I couldn't resist purchasing the whole Paddington line of papers from 7 Gypsies. And what's nice is that they're double sided (one white on black, the other black on white).

I went with the white on black because I think it makes the colors pop.

See, I had this idea to spray it down with Mister Huey. I wanted to jazz up the black and white, and subdue the high contrast. So I went to town with my new shades.

I used Bluegrass, Pickle, Hot Dog and Lemonade (don't you just love those names?!) and spread diamond glaze over the letters in London to highlight it.

The rest was easy peasy.
Just a few paper scraps and a handmade pinwheel, which features a chipboard star misted with Bluegrass.

It's a very simple layout.
With graphic appeal!

Wrinkle in Time

Today,
I present to you.
A scrapbook page.

Ta da!
I know, I can hardly believe it either! I'm so happy to be back in the scrapbooking saddle. I've missed my messy little corner, my hole that I love to crawl down into.

I knew coming back could prove a bit difficult, so I used Shimelle's 4x6 Photo Love prompt for this layout about London.

The title of the page actually came from the patterned paper. I'm in love with American Crafts' The Classics line (of which the red/pink paper comes from), it's name for the book The Lion. Another sheet in the line is named after a Wrinkle in Time. Which is what I was thinking of when I took these photos of Big Ben.

I have so many photos of Big Ben across the years. But it's always the same. Just like London is always the same. It's a wonderful place that I can pick back up like I've never left it off. It falls into that timeless, wrinkle in time category. London, the eternal city :)

Now, I have a confession to make...
I've spent too much money on scrapbook supplies lately. =/
There! I said it.

But now that that's off my chest, I can officially say that I've used some of my nice new products! I literally just laid it all on my bed and picked and chose what I wanted to use. And I went for what I thought went well together. It's not my usual color scheme but I'm really really digging it.

I also went for a lot of symbolism. I crumpled up the paper to achieve a wrinkled look and then sprayed and flicked gold and iridescent Maya Mist on it. Love how the metallics look on the dark cardstock. I also used 3 different types of clocks: a metal one, a gold heat embossed one and a printed die cut.

So very happy with my first scrapbook creation in a month! I tip my hat to the lovely Shimelle, who also just got back from a trip. Be sure to check out her blog, it's one of the few that I actually read all the words!

Also, don't forget to comment on the last post for a chance to win a lovely piece of Wall Art!

Cheers,

"...and those who travel read only a page," at least according to St. Augustine!

Hello loves! I'm so so sorry to have gone completely MIA for such a very long time. I've been here there and everywhere since the last time I posted. Training in San Francisco, training in London, meetings in Scotland, holiday in Istanbul and now, finally back in humid Texas. As you can see, I've read many pages this month.

But I do appreciate that everyone stuck around (at least according to my followers and my blog counter)! As a peace offering and a way to get you all back interested in the blog, I'm giving away something fun.

This [see Exhibit A] beautiful piece of wall art, created by the lovely Stephanie aka thelivingroomfloor, will come home to one of you lucky readers. I haven't framed it yet (on my to-do list for today) but I'm in l.o.v.e. LOVE with it! So classic and lovely and THE perfect sentiment.

All you have to do is comment and tell me what you consider to be the most interesting place you've traveled too. Also, feel free to throw in where in the world you'd most like to visit.

Let's say you have until Thursday, 31 March and I'll announce the winner on April 1. Consider this the official re-launch of the blog!

Can't wait to hear where it is that you've been, and where it is that you're hoping to go. (Ooh, very idealistic, no?) And don't forget to tell your friends! :)
