Felipa & Enoch

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

Grandparents have the best names. Or at least mine do! I love how different they are, how they aren't current or trendy. On my mom's side, her dad is Enoch and her mama is Felipa, neither traditional and both interesting. I wanted to make sure to document them on this page.
I also just really wanted to document these photos! Like I mentioned in the journaling, this may be the only photo I have with both of them.

Another non-traditional thing about my grandparents? They got divorced in the 70's when my mom was still a little girl. Way back before all of the crazy divorce statistics ramped up. Absolutely no bragging on that fact, just some sharing. And some context as to why this is such an epic photo of the 3 of us.
I also thinks its funny how tiny they are and how huge I look next to them. I'm wearing heels here. But even without them I'm still taller than my wee grandpa. (I get my height from my Dad's side of the family)
Diana blogged about the page design, which is a lift from a Scrapbook Circle subber. You can read more about it on the Scrapbook Circle blog.

Triangles Trend

I had so much fun with this page. It's a pretty flat page which I'm not use to doing, but still fun. Lots going on…it's like a circus! Anyway, I blogged about it a bit more over on the Scrapbook Circle blog. Head on over there to find out more if you're so inclined.

Lately Mac

Wednesday, October 1, 2014

The latest Scrapbook Circle kit is out! I didn't have much time to work my magic with it but I ended up with 4 pages that I really loved!

Here's a page I made just for fun using this month's cut files. I loved the Elle's Studio cork patterned paper. And when I saw the Echo Park sticker sheet and those great push pin stickers, I knew instantly how I wanted this page to turn out. I made it look like a cork board!
Look at Ms. Mac laying their like a little Queen of Sheba. This could not have been comfortable for her, she was halfway lying on the wall and on the floor. But she just looked so cute I had to snap some photos.

These were pretty generic photos that I paired with a story of her right now. Lately this tiny monster has been keeping me up at night. Meowing and wanting to play at 2 am! I wanted to be sure to remember this phase (God I hope!).
The cut files and the 6x6 paper pad from the (so sorry already sold out!) add-on kit did all of the work for me. It was just a matter of a few bits of embellishing and adding the journaling.
I have 3 more pages to share with you. I'm also working on a a post about what it's like to work with Scrapbook Circle and a little bit more about the challenges we post on the blog. So be sure to check back for more of that later this month!
