I was really only intending to make one pocket page with the Elle's Studio Documented items. But once I started I couldn't stop! Here's the second spread I did using the [Documented Stamp] [Documented Journaling Tags] [Basic Journaling Tags-Gray] [Little Moments Wood Veneer] [Good Stuff Puffy Stickers] and [Little Moments Paper Stack].

In September, I decided I would do a [Week in the Life] type project in the week leading up to my birthday. Each day I'd tell a story about a different aspect of my life: work, family, friends, home, etc. 

I took all the photos, printed them, put them in pocket pages....and then nothing. Well, not completely nothing, I did do [one spread] using a Scrapbook Circle kit and another as my [31 facts at 31] post for the year. The rest of the pages have just been hanging out in the album unfinished. 

Until I received the Elle's Studio Documented products which just seemed perfect for a few of the pages! I used the [Documented Stamp] [Documented Journaling Tags] [Basic Journaling Tags-Gray] [May Monthly Kit] [Marie Alphabet Stamp] and [Little Moments Bits & Pieces] for this page. Today Birthday Card

One of my besties is having a birthday today! So I threw together this quick card yesterday morning before I left for work. I cannot stress how quick and easy this card was to make! It's just a bunch of stamping in a variety of colors which makes it bright and graphic, I think. I used the new Elle's Studio [Documented stamp set].

One of my favorite things to do when I make birthday cards is to use the person's actual birth date. It's simple but it makes it so much more personalized.

I went a little non-traditional with this card. In the sense that I didn't actually use the phrase "happy birthday". And I think that's ok! Today is an equally good sentiment to use on a birthday card. Inside I stamped "You're Old(er)" just to be cheeky but I think it goes with "Today".

Also something I do whenever I make a card for someone, I decorate the envelope. I want people to be excited about opening it up! I used the [Jonah Alphabet Stamp] and again, a ton of inks to make it bright and fun!

Birthday Cards

You guys, I feel so productive right now! I've been mentally patting my back since I made these cards. Wanna know why? I's because I sat down, thought up all of the wonderful ladies and gentlemen I might want to send a birthday card too, tallied that number up, sat down and made them! 

That's right, all of the birthday cards I need for the year are done! You can read more about them over on the Scrapbook Circle blog if you'd like. 

I have to say I'm pretty stoked about this! The only thing that's left is for me to write a little note and pop them in the mail.

GASP!! Just had a major thought: I should write out all of the addresses and add the stamps to the envelopes and then they'll really be ready to go! I take this as an action point and will get it done by the end of the year.

Thirty One at 31

I have a tradition. Every year I write xx facts about me at xx year. You can see my past pages here: 28 at 28, 29 at 29, 30 at 30. This year I mixed it up a bit and decided to scrapbook this using a divided page protector. All of the products are from the Scrapbook Circle Mix Tape kit & Cassette add-on. This is Thirty

Happy 4th! To all of my fellow Americans of course. Everyone else, I hope you're having a fantastic Saturday =)

I have to admit we're not doing much to celebrate this weekend. What with a new furry creature in our house. If she weren't here, we'd be down at the beach relaxing poolside with my parents. It's a trade off. Cute puppy vs relaxing beach weekend. Cute puppy wins for now!

Speaking of relaxing weekends, today I'm sharing my latest Simple Scrapper creation, which is featured in the July edition of Spark Magazine. 

I love love love it!! Like am nearly completely obsessed with how it turned out. It's the first page I've scrapbooked about my 30th birthday, which was spent pool side at The Saguaro in Palm Springs. I've been wanting to get there for years! So finally for my birthday, we made it happen.

This is one of those pages that came together thanks to my newly revamped scrap space. Because of how it's organized, I get to just shop in my room, pulling out bits and pieces that I thought would go well with the photos.

The flamingo, pineapple washi and gold heart are from a Studio Calico add-on. The background and confetti paper are the A & B sides of a Project Life Sunshine edition patterned paper.

I went with a bulleted list for journaling. It's all of the tiny things that made up my 30th Birthday. The list probably sounds more appropriate for a 22 year old. But I think I proved it doesn't always have to be!

Oh man, take me back to Palm Springs! Will you? Pretty please?!

Finished Project

First order of business, announcing the winner of the Scrapbook Circle goodies giveaway. Random.org picked commenter number two, who was Sandi!

Secondly, I finished my Finishing Project!!! I'm so excited to have completed this. And only 18 months after the event :) I'm actually not bothered that it took so long. I'm just happy that it's done! 

I couldn't have done it without Jennifer's fantastic class and all of the great prompts and worksheets. They totally helped me clarify my vision and keep me on track. 

To see where I started, check out this post. I so naively thought I wasn't far from being done because my photos were printed and I'd picked a few background papers. 

As you will see, the book had quite a transformation. I re-ordered a few things, re-printed several photos, added in tons of inserts. I repeated several of the designs on multiple pages (See last few photos on this post).

It wasn't easy. It's just so hard to pick up momentum that you've lost. I had to fight my way through most of this (although some of it was easy) mini book. That's not to say it wasn't fun. It was just a mental hurdle I needed to overcome.

I'm extremely proud of myself and this little mini. If you have any questions about products or techniques I'm more than happy to answer them in the comments! For now, I'll let the photos do the talking. But beware, there are a ton!
