Friendsgiving

Hello dear friends. I'm back. Still healing, but it's getting a little bit better every day. So thank you for your patience with me. Really, it means that I have more to share in a shorter window of time :) So more posts than usual this month!

I'd like to start with the winner of the Scrapbook Circle RAK I posted about awhile back. The winner of it + a hot off the presses only available to SBC subcribers "Tell Your Story" tote bag is.......

Congrats Pennie! I'm e-mailing you just after this =)

Sorry for the slightly hodge podge post, but I also wanted to share one of my latest Simple Scrapper pages. This was in the November edition of Spark Magazine. I used Sketch No. 188 (for any members to refer to) and a story starter from the November content.

Speaking of hodge podge, the page was made from leftovers of the Scrapbook Circle kits I purged for the giveaway. I love love love how quirky it is! The color scheme totally surprised me but I really love how it turned out. Might be because I love this story and fondly remember this day.

Journaling Reads:

For most of us, this was our first Thanksgiving away from home. It was definitely the first time Monica, Haileigh and I had ever cooked a turkey. But I think that’s the magic of this day in our history. There were twenty of us gathered around the string of tables we collected from each others apartments. I look at this photo and remember so many awesome memories with these people. Silly times in this flat specifically. Kyle busting into the Lion King intro towards the end of this meal. It would easily have been a sad a day for many of us, being so far from family. But then I think we all realized, we’d found family even far away from home.

I know I chose a winner for my Scrapbook Circle left over goodies. BUT, you can actually buy goodies too. Lisa has some $15 grab bags up for sale. You get a TON of lovely bits and baubs from a variety of manufacturers.

Thanks again, y'all for being so patient with me and for your kind words. They mean so much to me!

cheers & besos,

Feeling Blue

I don't know if its April or this year or my mindset or what! But lately I've really really been loving using blue on just about all of my pages.

Blue backgrounds, blue accents just blue everywhere! I'll be sharing several other blue filled layouts later this week. But for now I'll leave you with the announcement of the winner of the Art + Science of Scrapbooking class giveaway.

Congratulations Megan!

Oooh! I LOVE this concept! I'm definitely both, as a scientist and a scrapbooker, so it would be amazing to have a more objective class point out or at least make it more obvious which way I tend to lean when playing with paper. I think I usually start with a photo, but always keeping the story in mind. I mostly do PL these days, so it's more about mini-stories. Definitely intrigued by the class and would love to win a spot! Thanks for the opportunity!

_______

Megan, I'm going to try to find you girl. But if you see this before I do, please e-mail me at paperheart[dot]project[at]gmail[dot]com and I'll send you instructions for joining!

Giveaway Winner

Congratulations Nursela! You're the winner of last week's blog giveaway =)

I'm e-mailing you next so be on the look out!

Thanks everyone for commenting! It was fun to hear about everyone's fave color.

Blue was the overwhelming winner and I thought it was interesting that nearly everyone that said blue, mentioned that they liked every shade of blue. I included all of the turquoise/teal/aqua fans in this group.

Only one person said yellow was their favorite color (like me!) first and the others picked it as accents.

I also loved that some of you mentioned your color choices in your home/clothes vs. in your scrapbooking.

The next highest color choice was green! And nature is directly attributed to that.

And pink rounded out the top 3.

cheers & besos,

Hop Winner

The pig did the picking for this blog hop. By pig I mean MT =)

And the winner is....

Nina!

I have a winner for you all today!

This winner gets their choice of a Kelly Purkey Sketchbook/Sketchpad pdf class as well as a small prize pack of goodies I brought back from London & Lisbon.

There's some great graphic postcards, little notebooks, a few clothespins (or pegs as the Brits call them) and a cute stamp that I picked up here at home.

Without further adieu, the winner of the RAK is....

Congrats Cheryl!! E-mailing you now =)

A couple of other things I wanted to share with yall:

Scrapbook Challenges has a Paper to Digi challenge going on this month. I discovered it when I got back from my trip the other day. The ladies are using my layouts as inspiration for their digital designs. I was so flattered to have been picked as inspiration and so excited to see their pages! Be sure to check it out and to play along if you're a digital scrapper :)

Also, stumbled across the freebies section at Persnickety Prints. They have some great digital templates, tons of free papers and even some elements. I'd check them out if you were looking for a template to put multiple instagram shots on a single canvas.

Through the 22nd, they have a sale on their 8x8 photos. Each is $.79 instead of their usual $.99 (check out their blog for more details). If you were to put 9 instagram shots on 1 8x8 page, the photos would work out to $.08 a print! You'd have to do a bit of cutting, but I'm all for that kind of deal. They also have 2 12x12 templates.

Just wanted to share my sweet find!

cheers & besos,

Back Again

Hello blog, hello blog readers,

I hope everyone is well. It's been an extremely busy few months. There were several cross country trips and one terrible stomach bug, but alas here I am again.

Thank you for not forgetting about me!

Today, I messed around with my blog header and some colors. Thought it was time for a change, a fresh start if you will.

So indeed I am back, although I'll not make empty promises of weekly posts and all of the same mumbo jumbo that I've said before.

I'm a busy girl with an active life, there just aren't enough hours in the day sometime. But I do hope to make this blog a bigger priority next year.

And I've just got back into the swing of my scrapping!! I'm so excited to share my latest pages with you all. I was lucky enough to scrap with some super sweet ladies out at The Croppin' Bug in Texas City yesterday. I have 6 nearly complete pages to journal on. I hope to share them all with you soon.

Check back tomorrow to get the scoop on this year's Christmas cards! (Just for you Meghan :)
