Rua Augusta Arch

Friday, April 6, 2012

Happy Good Friday to you all. I hope that work has let you have a holiday. Mine did! And I could not be more happy about it. I needed this break.

The sun is shining, MT & I are going to opening day of the Astros season tonight and tomorrow I get to see my parents!

In an effort to share my sunny mood, I wanted to blog a sunshiney page.

When I think of Portugal, I can see blue skies & sun and red terra-cotta roofs and yellow buildings. So this photo, of the Rua Augusta Arch, is nearly the most perfect representation of all of those things. Since it was so grand, I wanted it to be an enlarged photo on this page so it's printed at 6x12 inches.

I played around with sunny page elements from Amy Tangerine's first line. I also layered some great architectural and colorful patterned paper strips, along with washi tape.

I misted using a mask to get that sunny orange design & journaled on vellum, my new favorite thing!

I can't believe I was in Portugal just 2 months ago. I already want to go back!

From on sunny weekend to another, I'm so happy to be off of work and am off to enjoy this day! I hope all of you do as well :)

cheers & besos,

Sketchbook 4| No. 1

Wednesday, April 4, 2012

It's April! Do you know what that means? Sketchbook!! The class started this Monday & I have my first layout to share.

True to form, I'm using the class to finish up this year's Urijah photos before his birthday on the 20th.

I loved the red, white & blue in the photos and there were some great r,w & b products in last month's Studio Calico kit. I love how this layout turned out. I'm so happy to be back scrapping!

And since I'm sharing KP class sketch based layouts, I had to post this next to last Sketchpad based page. It's sweet & simple. It didn't need much with that super cute photo of Yaya aka Urijah.

So happy to have my mojo back =) and super excited for all of the goodies on their way to me. I placed a 2Ps order full of new Studio Calico, Crate Paper & Amy Tangerine. Can't wait to get my grubby mitts on it.

Also excited to scrap with some sweet Houston ladies in a few weeks. I need a good scrap day out!

cheers & besos,

Tapas for a Tener

Monday, April 2, 2012

I love my friends. Can you tell? I miss them even more. I think that's why I've been scrapping them so much lately.

James is in Wisconsin.
Zahra's in the bay area near San Francisco.
Becky is in NYC.
Chris is living in Boston now.
And Sarah, sweet Sarah, is in Japan.

Can you feel my pain?!

This was just a nice night out at a tapas place in London. I absolutely adore this photo of James & Sarah. It's just so them.

I also adore these Project Life stamps KP did for Studio Calico. I'm so sorry to taunt you with them as they're limited edition. But get ready because I know I'll be using them a ton!

I just had fun clustering and layering and playing with some Story Hour goodness.

Thanks for stopping by yall!

cheers & besos,
