Dear Lizzy

Ok, be jealous! I was so very fortunate as to attend a class taught by Dear Lizzy, of Creating Keepsakes and American Crafts, herself!! I've been anxiously awaiting and anticipating this class for months now. It got pushed back 2 times but nothing was going to stop me from going!

And how lucky for me, that I moved to the metropolis where she was teaching, only a little over 2 weeks ago! I made the 1 hour trek from downtown Houston (thanks to my faulty Google maps feed and the miles long access roads) out to the Woodlands for some fun and paper crafting.

I was a bit late but I honestly feel that totally worked out for me in the end, as I got to sit next to Jeri, one of the sweetest and loveliest of ladies. We played catch up the whole time but really just had fun chatting about our travels and my new job. And of course chatting with Lizzy about her sweet girls and the little one on the way.

This was 1 of 2 projects that we made in the class, both featuring some of my favorite Dear Lizzy products. Like that fabric paper! {gasp!!} Amazing!! I'm now hooked and feel the need to invent new and creative ways for incorporating it into my pages and albums.

I have to confess that it wasn't always my intention to create this page for a photo of me and Lizzy. But a nice lady clown (she wasn't in costume) in the class had the idea and I have to confess, I stole it.

I love my page! This was a true "Lizzy" creation through and through and I even got Lizzy herself to sign the page!! And what I mean by "Lizzy" is fun and colorful, girly and sweet. Much like the lady herself who was an absolute doll.
