Monday again, you know what that means! A Scrapbook Challenges sketch :)
As you can see, I was so very influenced by his coral shirt and her coordinating coral and pink dress. (I wonder if she planned it that way. Hmm...) and dug through my scraps to find pink and coral paper. They're older pieces and I hit them with some salmon metallic Maya Mist to even them out a bit. I also misted the kraft background to give it some pizzaz.
The flower and the swirly were cut with my Slice and used the Vintage Findings design card. To give the flower some depth, I chalk inked the edges, backed it with white cardstock and added a brad. I love that I can use my little Slice to make my own custom embellishments!
This second layout features the same photos and identical title and journaling. I found the quote I used for the journaling from this book we use to sell at the LSS I worked for, The Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Word. Everything is divided into categories alphabetically so I just turned to the section on grandparents and found this:
"Come Grandma, walk with me...
Help me to be the best kid I can be.
Take me here and take me there...
Show me now how much you care.
The many hours we share together...
Will be the times I'll always remember."
I thought it was too perfect for these pages about my mama and her grandson. She truly is a great mama and an even better grandma! Urijah's lucky to have her, as well am I!

Love both layouts! I really love all the papers and how perfectly they match the pictures. Such sweet journaling, too.
