Thank You Gifts

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

So I have some big personal news...after this week I'll be moving up to Houston for an amazing job opportunity! I'm so very excited and can't wait to get going! But, it's slightly bittersweet as I love the group of ladies that I currently work with. I didn't want to leave without letting the lovely ladies there know how much I appreciate them. These are their little parting gifts, a card and a photo holder.

Since I've been so sick and so out of it these last few days, and let's face it, not at all crafty, I turned to one of my tried and true sources of inspiration, the Studio Calico gallery. Loved this Thank You Card by Kimberly, all of the layers and the pretty patterned paper. I didn't have enough of the Girls Paperie' patterned paper that she used, but substituted this gorgeous sheet of Making Memories Vintage Findings floral print. It has this pretty glossy texture to it; awesome for something that isn't stuck behind a page protector.

I've also really wanted to make some of these Wooden Spool Photo Holders, that the lovely Stephanie (aka thelivingroomfloor) showcased on the SC blog awhile back. I thought they'd be the perfect little parting gift to accompany my cards.

I hope they like them :) Thanks yall for stopping by!

xxbesos
